What is splitmax?
splitmax is a receipt-splitting app. You scan a restaurant receipt, share one link with your group, and everyone taps the items they ordered. splitmax calculates each person's share and routes payment through Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, or Zelle.
How does it work?
Three steps: scan your receipt with the splitmax app, share the generated link with your group, and your friends tap the items they had and pay. splitmax handles all the math automatically.
Is splitmax free?
Yes — splitmax is free forever. Pro ($1/month or $5/year) removes ads and adds a Pro badge next to your name. That's it.
Do my friends need to download the app?
No. Friends open a link in any browser — no app download, no account, no signup required.
What payment methods are supported?
splitmax supports Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, and Zelle. You enable whichever payment handles you use, and your friends pay you directly through those apps.
Is my data safe?
splitmax does not store any payment credentials. All data is encrypted in transit. For full details, see our privacy policy.
How do I go Pro?
Open the splitmax app, go to Settings, and tap Upgrade. You can choose monthly or yearly billing. Pro includes a 1-month free trial and you can cancel anytime.
